The Astrologer
Joyous has been studying and practicing astrology for over a decade. As a Cancer Sun, she was nicknamed a “crybaby” in childhood—a label she later found echoed in astrological stereotypes when she first encountered the practice. What began as skepticism turned into curiosity: was this accuracy meaningful, or just coincidence?
Annoyingly (and intriguingly), it wasn’t just a coincidence.
Despite long identifying as practical and grounded—something she now attributes to her Virgo rising—Joyous found herself drawn deeper into astrology as a system for understanding patterns, timing, and human experience.
Her approach is not psychic. Instead, she treats astrology as both an art and a science: a tool for clarity, like a weather report, offering insight into the cycles shaping your life and how to work with them intentionally.
Joyous blends traditional and modern astrology, incorporating Hellenistic timing techniques to support decision-making, life transitions, and aligned action. She also offers guidance in astrological magic for clients interested in working more actively with planetary energies.
The Writer
Like a lot of creatives, she dabbled in her craft in childhood but was discouraged by outside forces to take it seriously. Back in 2021, she experienced the greatest heartbreak of her life and it left her in pieces. She then found herself filled with lessons that she felt could only be properly crystallized into stories.
Treating her work like a mystic practice, Joyous examines different parts of herself and her society through the characters she creates for her stories. Her work is both introspective and expansive, using narrative as a way to process, understand, and ultimately reimagine reality.
